The much talked about 2012 GT-R will arrive at Nissan dealers in CT this fall. The new Nissan GT-R flaunts new front and rear diffusers integrated into the bumpers and new LED daytime running lights. These enhancements add to its already aggressive looks and increases its drag coefficient from 0.272 to 0.268 while improving the down force by 10 percent. In other words, it goes faster than the 2011 model at 0-60 MPH in 2.98 seconds, as quick as Bugatti Veyron.
A new forged aluminum wheel is optional in either a Hyper Blue Black or Hyper Titanium color and there are two
colors for the car – Aurora Flare Blue Pearl and Nebula Opal Black. Rumor has it that the Nissan GT-R will have a slight price hike but pricing is not yet known.
We still have one 2011 Nissan GT-R in stock at Executive Jeep Nissan in North Haven with special pricing to make room for the 2012 model. Test drive your 2011 Nissan GT-R today at Executive Nissan!

Free Shipping. org released their Best Time to Buy Guide for 75 Products and they say “Timing is everything, it seems.” The list items from groceries to gym memberships and even gift cards. As experts in the field, they suggest that “Knowing when is the best time to buy that new car, house or lawn mower could be the difference between saving hundreds if not thousands of dollars every year.”
So when do they recommend buying a car?
“New model year vehicles are typically introduced in late summer. The end of a model year can be a great time to get bargains on a recommended model as dealerships are making room for new models. Vehicles remaining on the lot at the end of the model year are considered to be “leftovers”. They have been on the lot the longest and can generally be negotiated for considerable savings.
The end of the month can be a good time to buy a car also as many dealerships establish monthly quotas and salespeople may be willing to take much less than asking price in order to make a sale to earn their bonus. The best way to save on end of the month purchases is to walk onto the dealership with a good idea of what you want to buy. Some salespeople may try pressuring you into making decisions about a car you are not prepared to buy if you don’t know what you are looking for.
Throughout the year, manufacturers offer rebates, incentives and cheap financing which often coincide with a holiday, long weekend, or special promotion. Sales incentives can be worth investigating to see how much money you can save.”
The Executive Auto Group has sales going on year round, but we are in fact making room for the new model year now. LEASE & PURCHASE VEHICLES IN HARTFORD, NEW HAVEN AND WALLINGFORD, CT
With 8 dealerships in CT, the Executive Auto Group understands your automotive needs. We know that choosing between leasing and financing is as important to you as choosing the right vehicle make and model.
The primary benefits of leasing and financing below offers an overview and more specific information is available at any Executive Auto Group dealership. You might also want to visit Lease Guides Consumer Car Leasing Guide, but the following should help you get a good start on deciding what’s best for you; to purchase or lease.
Of course, selecting the vehicle that fits your needs is the first step and driving the vehicles you’re considering is the best way to narrow your choices. To test drive hundreds of different cars, trucks and SUVs in CT visit Liberty Mazda or Liberty Honda in the Hartford area, Executive Honda, Executive KIA, Executive Dodge JEEP RAM or The Executive Auto Center Used Car Center in Walling ford and Acura by Executive, Executive JEEP or Executive Nissan in North Haven.
LEASING
In a lease, you do not purchase an automobile. You contract to use it for the first, and best, period of its life. Following are some additional benefits to leasing.
- Less Cash Up Front – One of the biggest advantages of a lease is that it does not usually require a substantial down payment. In CT dealerships, you can even pay the sales taxes as part of your monthly lease payment, rather than in a lump sum.
- Lower Monthly Payment – If the finance period is the same, your monthly payments will be lower when leasing (vs. financing) because your payments will be based on the vehicle’s estimated depreciation. (You are contracting to use a portion of the car’s value, rather than buying the entire car.)
- A New Car More Often – Your taste and preference may change, and a lease makes it easy to drive a new car more frequently. Additionally, you may have needs for a larger or smaller car in a few years, and a lease makes it easy to plan for such changes.
- Guaranteed Future Value – You don’t have to worry about resale value. If your car depreciates more than the estimated residual value in your lease contract at full term, you can turn it in at the end of your lease term. But if it’s worth more, you can buy it and keep it or resell it. A lease gives you either option.
FINANCING
If you typically keep your vehicle for five to ten years, then financing with an auto loan may be your best option. The Executive Auto Group of dealerships offer many choices in the best way for you to finance your new vehicle, with competitive rates and terms designed to meet your needs. At Executive we know that bad things happen to good people so those with blemished credit can buy a car with Guaranteed Credit to buy a car.

Dodge Ditches Monkey from Commercial
What’s all the uproar about the Dodge Tent Event Commerical? “We’re not making light of the issue,” said Jason Fontaine, General Manager of Executive Dodge Jeep in Wallingford adding, “We hope Dodge’s attempt at humor keeps the discussion about animal rights alive and now, when people ask “Where’s the monkey?” we direct them to resources where they can learn more about animal cruelty prevention.”
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) filed a complaint with Dodge about a commercial that featured a monkey. The recent commercial was posted to YouTube, where thousands of views and hundreds of comments took place applauding its wit and humor. The ad was made for the current Dodge Tent Event using a young chimpanzee (Suzie) in a daredevil suit. Suzie walks up to a detonator, pushes down the lever and triggers a less-than-huge confetti explosion.
According to the Chryler’s corporate blog, Dodge then ”received two emails, one from PETA and the other from a chimpanzee sanctuary in Washington. Both informed us about the poor conditions of working animal “actors.” They told us how these animals are traumatically removed from their mothers as infants and routinely abused in behind-the-scenes training sessions.”
In response to the PETA complaint Dodge digitally removed the monkey leaving only the costume Suzie was filmed in from the ad. It is identical to the original until the final moments, when the speaker deadpans: “This event could not be more amazing. Oh, wait. There’s an invisible monkey. Unbelievable.” Click here to view the edited Dodge Ditches Chimpanzee From Commercial.

Clockwise or Counter-clockwise?
An optical illusion is characterized by perceived images that differ from objective reality and have confounded and delighted humans for thousands of years. The information gathered by the eye is processed in the brain in a way that doesn’t tally with a physical measurement of the stimulus source.
There are thousands to entertain such as these 88 Visual Phenomena & Optical Illusions, 203 Pages of all kinds of images, 3D Stereograms or eyetricks, a site called Stereogram Builder where you can create your own and Optical Illusions for Kids.
The enjoyable struggle to understand optical illusions is best summed up by the Greek philosopher and dramatist Epicharmus: “The mind sees and the mind hears. The rest is blind and deaf.”

2011 Nissan Quest
After a brief absence from the lineup, the Nissan Quest minivan returns to Executive Nissan in early 2011. The next-generation Nissan
Quest introduces a new standard in family mobility. Along with top levels of quality and reliability, the all-new design is full of sophistication, security and thoughtful utility for families and empty-nesters alike. The new Quest will be the ideal vehicle for buyers needing the size, safety, functionality and comfort that a minivan has to offer, without sacrificing style or driving pleasure.

The All New Nissan Commercial Van Coming Soon
The Nissan Quest did not return for the 2010 model year because Nissan was utilizing that production plant for a commercial vehicle based on the Nissan NV (Nissan
Nissan NV Concept
Van) marking Nissan’s first entry into the commercial vehicle market in North America. Scheduled to launch in mid-2011 as a 2012 model, the Nissan NV will be available in three different versions, and in two roof configurations — Standard Roof and High Roof.
The NV is the first High Roof commercial van to offer rugged body-on-frame construction. High Roof models allow most users to walk and stand in the cargo area. Powering the rear-wheel drive Nissan NV will be a choice of two powerful yet fuel-efficient engines — a 4.0-liter V6 and 5.6-liter V8.
